In many cultures and traditions, it is believed that visiting a loved one can help with the grieving process, especially in circumstances where the death was sudden and there was no time for anybody close to the person to say goodbye. The Directors at Arlington Funeral Services will support you during this time but the choice of visiting the deceased is completely personal and one aspect of our service we cannot advise you on, because we know the pain you’ll be feeling when seeing them and we know there’s still a great heartbreak if you don’t see them again, but we can tell you something, visiting the deceased could be the last time that you see your loved one in person and it would be a good time to say your goodbyes now rather than at the funeral where many people will be around, that way you don’t need to hide your emotions.
Should you decide to visit the deceased, we are able to offer you private remembrance rooms, or Chapel of Rest, at our Arlington Funeral Services premisses. You are welcome to use this space and personalise it with a photograph or other personal item or possessions that reflects their special interest and pastimes and epitomises and reminds you of your loved one, we understand what you are going through and if you feel that you’ve got nobody to talk to about what you’re feeling, then we at Arlington Funeral Services are here to be a shoulder for you to cry on if it will help you with your grieving process.
Alternatively you may wish to have the deceased back at home together with family and friends. If you decide on this option, please speak to any of our Directors and we will make all the necessary arrangements. If you would like to arrange a funeral with us, or if you’d just like some information on the types of funeral services we offer then please don’t hesitate to get into contact with us and a member of our friendly team will be in touch with you shortly, remember we are here for you!
